JUST DOWNLOADED ECM SPY. WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHERE TO GET A WIDE BAND O2 SENSOR AND HOW DO THEY COST? ARE THEY EASY TO INSTALL AND USE??[confused][confused][confused]

I was under the impression that you weren't able to just change them out... the ECM doesn't "like" it.

you don't change them out for riding, just for tuning purpose.

A lot of wideband o2 sensors have a narrow band wire that can replace your standard o2 signal. I used this method on my Evo VIII I had.

SO LEFOX WHAT YOU ARE SAYING IS THE ONLY TIME I NEED TO USE IT IS WHEN THE PC IS CONNECTED AND I'M LOGGING DATA. THEN WHEN I'M DONE PUT THE STOCK ONE BACK IN.

How do you connect the wide band to ecmspy tehnub what brand o2 sensor did you use and how did you wire it to work [confused]

if you're going the wide-band route, might as well get another bung welded in the front pipe so you can log and tune properly.

if you only use the rear sensor, you will need to create the front fuel map based off one of the various methods out there, e.g. +2 across the map, let MLV make the map or % based. these are all guesses at what the front cylinder needs for fuel so the tune isnt 'complete'

i understand the purpose of a wideband o2 sensor in the front and the rear header pipe. i can easilly install a bung in the front pipe i have access to welders and drill presses but what i dont under stand is how to wire it in and use them in ecmspy especially if i put one in the front and if i do can i run them both at the same time?? [confused]
