No matter how much I try even just screwing around in a parking lot, I can't get that front tire any farther. I also just got this bike a month ago and Im still getting used to it. I used the whole tire on my old 600rr.

Not the best pic, but I think I got it all the way over. Tire had 5000 miles on it at this point. New BT-016's just got spooned on last weekend.

Here is mine... These tires are about 1 month old. (I've been away for work so only about 300 miles on them)

It's dark out side so the front tire pic didn't come out so well....

Buttonwillow... why not laguna?

dave_xb12r
10-09-2011, 05:47 PM
Laguna is something like $300 for a track day. I got 2 track days passes for $150 at buttonwillow. It was "meh". I'd rather be hitting big sur hard than going nowhere on a track.

then you need to come out my way and hit up redwood rd

Not near the edge yet, but i still feel heroic for a short wheelbase bike with a 180. [smirk]

irrelevant since if you don't keep it up the "chicken strips" will return.

not bad for being a new tire that hasn't been thrown around in corners yet.(about an 1/8 of an inch)

thanks dave for honking the b.s horn

^^^ ok that's not right. Under inflated?
looks like your running 20 psi in them. i have p-2 on my camo bike. and if i ran them out like that my front would wash out. they are just to hard of tires.
and just a heads up guys if your running down in the 3/8-1/4 inch area and your running "s" pegs you are touching your curb feelers. unless your running low air presser.

Just touching the top of the 2ct on the front
http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i118/Nirvana12211990/5ae17b81.jpg
Rear is about 1/32inch from the edge on the right and non existant on the left :D
http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i118/Nirvana12211990/4b8b1361.jpg
Unfortunately I'm about an inch from the edge on most days but when it gets nice and warm and I'm not just going to and from work I can get down there
