Some friends and I rode to the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville, PA on Sunday. I thought I'd share some pics! The first pic was at our lunch stop in Indiana, PA.

Thanks bolt! It was nice to be there in person but I look forward to going back once they get things completed. They have a long way to go unfortunately and I hear funding has been lacking. :(

The ride on the 1125 was a pleasure though. Kind of familiar to the XB yet different. I could definitely get used to one! If he had an exhaust on it I may have taken it from him for good! ;)

That's extremely disappointing! The federal government should be more than accommodating to have already completed that memorial! That's the one flight of them all that was able to actually save lives by taking that plane back. That flight had the potential to kill thousands more depending on it's target destination, which it obviously didn't make!

Heroes! Every last one of them!

Thanks Dro for sharing the pics! Soooo, begs the question, 1125 in your immediate future? :D

Agreed!!

It would be nice but I kind of doubt it. To be honest, based on this test ride, if I replaced my XB with an 1125 I think I would miss the low RPM grunt of the XB around town. Maybe it was just because I wasn't used to it but I found myself having to down-sift more often to keep the R's up. It's like the 1125 makes power at 2-3k RPMs above the XB across the whole range, but whoa...when that power came on, it was pretty sweet! The 6th gear was welcomed as well. The whole bike was just smoother than the XB from the clutch to the shifting to the revs. I haven't decided if that's a good or bad thing though :p I think that is part of the character that I've heard some people say they miss when going to an 1125...

yup....the people on that plane were true heros. americans at their finest. i think that certain individuals on that plane should get something equivilent to the medal of honor. in the moments a war was set on them, and they unflinchingly stepped into battle laying their lives down for their countrymen.

I am currently reading "Let's Roll" by Todd Beamer's wife. Pretty amazing story - sad, but it is a true showing of the American spirit.
