Said Squeaking only presents itself when I'm rolling on the throttle a little quicker than usual.. Anyone know what it is?
It will happen when I'm just cruising on the freeway and decide to gun it, or when I'm at a complete stop at a red light going 0-45 as fast as possible. :D
It only lasts for like two seconds in the 3000-4000 rpm range while I'm rolling on the throttle..

It's probably impossible to tell exactly what the problem is without taking it apart, but I'm wondering if anyone here experienced the exact same issue..

Check your horn mount under the flyscreen, mine was broke and making noise. Or you could unload 5 cans of wd-40 on bike....that should fix a squeak! :)

It's easily reproducible, but for whatever reason it doesn't squeak when I'm sitting on it in neutral and revving it.
It actually sounds like a Star Wars laser blaster. Like you're taking a steel cable and thwanging it.

Sounds like it might be coming from a piston.. like from the engine.

Like you're taking a steel cable and thwanging it. Check your drive belt to see if it's rubbing somewhere. With the bike off, roll and listen. Also check overall condition for cracks, etc.

I get something very similar. Always between 2500 and 3000 RPM. Did you find a resolution?

is your bike a 12? reason i ask is it's a longshot but might be the factory muffler power valve squeaking during opening and closing period. just guessing here.

Well... I have zip-tied the valve open permanently and used the servo emulator ;)
