Bluetooth to ecm to iPhone

Okey, i got ecmspy working on my Iphone. Before there is a chainreaction on how it works on iphone. i first need to know if there is any way to connect the iphone to the ecm by bleutooth connector?? Because else this is completely useless...

i know from palm it does not support all functions over bleutooth.

Any input is welcome!

Not sure if I understand, But I might be changing phones to the Iphone for many reason's this being one of them.
My friend with a HD has found a App that does it all,
Tac,MPH,Error Codes Real time,miles,Speed (GPS), Radar Detector, and this cable he has in the mail that connects to the ECM while riding.

So I'm thinking thats what you are looking for This cable? Or does it have to be Bluetooth?

i worked on a guys buell that had this on his droid.he also said he used it on his harley.it was called droidharley or harleydroid by brainapp.dont know if this will help but maybe the cable or bluetooth is the same

I just looked up the app. It only talks about harley in the description, so im assuming it will work for buell's as well. It's a free app

It says on their faq page it will work on all 2001+ harley's so I'm guessing it works

I dont think that one is going to do the trick. Thanks for the search! The reason im figuring this out, is because datalogging with a computer/tablet pc and with a cable attached it horrific..... I m just going to make a bluetooth acces to the ecm and find out if it works... If it doesn't its a nice project.

First off, this Topic is over a year old. Second ive been looking at this program for the iphone Style tap (http://styletap.com/product_apple.php) , im not sure but maybe with xoptiInside new bluetooth adapter for the ecm Xopti website (http://www.xoptiinside.com/buell_cable_store) that this app might work with the ecmspy version for palm os. All the logs would still have to be transfered to a pc and used with mlv still. Im going to be pre ordering the bluetooth adaptor anyway and plan on seeing it itll work.

So I have ecmspy working on my iPhone 4. But I'm not sure if it will communicate with a ECM Bluetooth adaptor. But the program is working and I can look at all the menus.

I wonder if I get a female to female USB adaptor and use my iPhone plug into my ecmspy plug if that will make a connection? Any suggestions ?

Did you download the ECMSpy software with the iPhone? Or download to computer, then to the iPhone?
Are you jail broken, or will this work on non jail broken phones?

Yes it has to be on a jailbroken iPhone. I have the newest firmware on my Verizon iPhone. I basicly downloaded the styletap app in the link I posted above and downloaded the ecmspy program for palm from the ecmspy website. It did need a wifi connection to transfer ecmspy to the styletap program

I have all the parts in but I have not tried to use styletap on my phone. Thats cause my phone is a droid... Palm does have a new free version of the BT palm which does have all functions working.

My first batch of the new BT is only a count of 10 and three were pre-ordered. It takes me about three weeks to get each batch of chips in and build the circuits to power the chips correctly. Some people dont filter and stabilize their power to the BLtooth and that makes havoc on the TTL portion on the data transceiver.

we made these a few years ago as well but the chips were ungodly high compared to now. so these new units are more affordable and now that I am established with the seller I can discount a tad more.

I got a response. He said that's what his original intentions of the app at first. But when Harley canned buell he had to change things and go with Harley. So gauge face is not compatible with buell. Sadly[sad][down]
