I got some new buell tail bags. They seem pretty straight forward minus the 2 brackets that are with them. Anyone have the original directions and or pictures?
Thanks fellas!

I just installed them minus the brackets, works great. Cant even remember where the brackets went sorry. Try it without them and am sure you wont have a problem.

yea i did not want to drill holes so I just mounted with the straps you do need the passenger pegs. I dont know if you have a bolt or a lightning.

mine are very secure. There are three straps that hold the two bags together. those get connected and hidden under the seat. The seat locks it down.
then, there is a big strap on the bag, that one will wrap around one arm of the passenger peg.
finally when you move the bags into position, (where the blinkers fit in the grooves), you should have just enough play in the small strap on the back to wrap around the blinkers. After adjusting these for a couple times you will get it to where you feel it looks good and is secure.
They work great for me!! why drill holes or stick double sided tape on your buell?? not needed.
Hope this helps!!

The brackets that came with mine (s version) were "reflector relocation brackets". Since the bags can block view of the stock mirrors, the brackets make it so they can be mounted in sight. I didn't put them on... I have the original instructions somewhere. I'll see if I can dig them up and scan them.

There is a bracket that slips into the back of the inside of the side saddle style bags and bolts up under the rear fender cover with the TWO existing bolts underneath. I just put small reflectors on them near the back area on the bag. I have the Buell Bag set and the bracket came with them. I figure if you find the Buell Accesseries book somewhere hopefully still out there or someone here may still have those instructions and be able to send it to you.The Stock bracket is cheap and mine broke after a few months. It's thin, SO I made one out of polished Aluminum and painted it black. They kinda look like flat bull horns pointed backwards as my Niece says. With the bags off I just leave the new bracket on. The actual bracket doesn't have a number on it.I'll check around as well to see if there's a part number in my old 2007 Accessories book.Good Luck.*Jimi

sorry mine came without instructions. i turned my reflectors the other way adn it fit jsut fine lined up with the signal lights adn all. what i did was use the 3 straps with brackets on top adn the 2 fat straps on the side i went around the front side of the back footpeg stands. teh seat will lock it all in place for sure. you can also use the center top strap adn run it along the bottom adn it seems mroe tucked in.

Sweet I will do some dicking around and see what happens. My tail is cut so the reflectors are out and I don't run passenger pegs often so those are out. I have a sewing machine at work so worst case I can make some custom straps!

Jake bought them from me.. (I wish I had a few more to sell) I went with the hepco-becker junior hardbag set-up for my 12s & didn't need them anymore.. keep lookin' around on e-bay and the forums, they pop up every so often..

Yes they is a set on E-bay at this time. The Price is way Cheaper than what I paid new for mine.I sprayed mine down with Scotchguard Spray from Wally world. It works good. The Bracket that Usually comes with the Bags is Cheap but does keep it from Swaying at Highway Speeds. Not to mention the Leaning here and there. Plus if you put a little weight on them because you just had to have that Item. It will keep it from pulling down too hard on the Straps. You could reinforce the Straps and put some insulation of some sort(Soft Leather) to keep the Straps from rubbing the Finish on the Bike.Post a picture when done.I'm sure it will come out fine. *Jimi[up]
