Has anyone on here that is too cheap to buy the race headers. Build your own. I'm a welder by profession. So that aspect isn't a problem. I was gonna buy all the bends the same size as the race ones. And just use the stock flanges and expand them out to the proper size and get a picture of the race headers and build the exact same ones. At a quarter the cost. If any body has how'd they turn out and was there any problems that you came across. Post pictures if possible.
Thanks

Sounds like you could make some money off that idea to if it works out!

I'm gonna be doing the same thing. I'm certain someone here has, I've seen it in a photo. I'm just not sure who.

I built a set of headers when I attended Wyotech. I know it wasnt easy but then again it was for Chevy 350 full race headers. I do know the hardest part was getting the headers to be the same capacity. I ended sealing them up and filling with water and then weighing the water to check capacity on each line. I dont know if this helps you in anyway though. Good luck.

Yeah I didn't even think about capacity.
Thanks
