Does anyone regularly push Lightning plastics out?
Looking for polished black..
How much does a full set go for usually? Just ballpark it.
I have an '04 Lightning Xb12s.

You're always helping me out! Thank you; I really just needed a good price to be able to calculate my wishlist. :)
Any idea if I can make my plastics look better? They're just scratched up..

I know novus plastic polish is popular (all three stages) there are a bunch of other products that others use, I need to get some polish for mine at some point as well haha

Unless you mean like road rash scratches.... Then wet sanding is a good bet

take a look at burgurboy's project, may inspire you to put a little elbow grease into your existing plastics and give 'em a new lease on life, either way, good luck with your wishlist

It's not road rash. They're just really worn. All the previous owners didn't really take care of her.
Wet sanding? How do I start?

i would start with just a good plastic polish unless you do have road rash.......
post some pics of your plastics if you can!

I'll take pictures...
One question; which site do you use for the pictures to show up on the forums themselves without getting redirected?

Well from my iPhone I use photo bucket then just copy the image code and paste it in. But if you scroll to the top of the forum and click my images near where your messeges and all are the. You can upload your photos to your account on here and just click "add image" when you are writing up a post to add it in

So any suggestions on how to clean all the plastics up?
I forgot to show you the front tire hood, but that is also pretty scratched up.

3M has a really good plastic polish or try a head light polish kit from your local auto parts store, either way you gonna have lots of rubbing to do, also think about adding a tank pad to the airbox to reduce the wear and tear...other option is to sand and paint, followed by several coats of clear...oh and "cut the cheese" of the tail
:D

I happen to like the cheese!! :D
So tank pad, sand blasting and repaint, and plastic polish.. It's going on the list.
What grade of sand paper? And where can I get 3m plastic polish?

this is what I have been using for several years, doesn't get the swirls out, but it does clean and shine very well
