19,500 miles

Is $4900 overpriced for miles that high??? The bike is clean, but I feel like im getting sloppy seconds with that many miles. Thoughts???

If its in good shape and has been well maintained that should be a good buy. Its really hard to tell until you go look at it and test ride it. Seems like thats a pretty average price for these...

I think that's alot of miles for an 08, imo. Mine was 6 years old when I bought it and it had less miles then that. I think it could come done to 4 or 4200.

Miles are not relevant and that's a great price if it's clean.
Just like cars it's all about how it was ridden and taken care of.
I ride 10k every year

The price was $5,500 but I worked it down to $4,900. Most other Buells I found either cost >$1K more with less miles, or were older (04-07). Thanks for the responses! I think Im going to end up getting it... Well see what happens when I get home. Go test ride it, and Ill let ya know what I do!

I bought my 07 XB9 last year in great condition for $4500 and it only had 1500 miles. Miles make a difference when you are talking price, just like any other car you buy. I would say its a decent price seeing as how it has a lot new parts on it.

when I see an 08 price is usually around 5k, for every 10k miles I would take at least 750 off the price. For that kind of mileage a good deal would be around 4200 imo

Most of the other Buells I found were 100% stock, but is that worth the difference? I found some that were around $4500 with around 4k miles, but they were 100% stock and an extra 3+ hours away. Not to mention I couldnt find any other XB12Scg at all, and my wife wants to ride it too (she is 5'2). I guess its really going to come down to how it rides when I get back. Unless someone wants to sell me a 08 or newer Scg with less miles at a better price!? :D

Personally would rather have a bike that was ridden and taken care of than one that sat in a garage and forgotten about.
And 10k a yr is normal for some of us.

Does any own(ed) a Buell XB with more than 20k miles on it?? I think the reason that I didn't like seeing '19,500 miles' right away, is because you don't usually see that many of a bike for sale. Maybe its because owners who have put that many miles on a bike tend to keep it?

Ya I'd say most used bikes with little to no miles were people who thought they would ride more but didn't, and either need to get out of the loan or just need the money.

Anyone that sells them with miles I bet is a life change situation, break up, move, loss of job, etc.

I wuldnt pay more than 4500$ for it. Miles not a huge problem in less he didnt take care of her. My mate has a 09 12ss and it has 20k miles and it looks like it just rolled off the show room floor. But u better test drive and look her over good. Plus how tall r u? Scg might be a little short for u. Im 5'8" and have a 04 12s and it fits me fine i dont think i wuld of liked the scg. Gl mate ! and ty for yur service

I think miles are fine and it's an SCG, pretty hard to find. Sure it would be nice to have only 3500 miles on it but if it was a commuter no big deal. I went from 4500 miles to 16800 in like two years or less once I started commuting 38 miles round trip for a work.

Price is fair too. I sold my 03 XB9R for $4000 in September, any lower than $4900 and he's taking a bath.

Well I just found one that is $4500 with only 6k miles and about the same amount of aftermarket parts. The only bad part is that it is a 6 hour drive from my house! Is the only thing that makes the XB an "scg" the seat? Or is there more too it than that? Im not worried how I fit the bike, its mostly for my wife to ride. I still have my FXDC :D It would just be something I would jump on every now and again

Well then drive the six hours to get that one then. A Super Glide is just a cruiser, an SCG is way more fun to ride and way faster.

I think its worth a drive! Just gotta make sure I like it and get as much info as possible before I drive somewhere so far away to buy a bike I have never seen in person. I love my cruiser!

Cruisers are fine, just two different beasts to be sure. I went from sport bikes(Hurricane), to cruiser (Dyna Low)to sport bike (916 Duc)to sport fighter (XB) and back to sport bikes (675 Daytona ZX10 and ZX12)I'm looking for a cruiser to tow behind my Mercedes Sprinter Conversion I'm getting for next spring. Most likely a Yamaha VStar. Touring a number of National Parks next year.

I think Buell chicks has around 50k+ on it.

SCG is a complete short suspension shock and forks.

you guy talk about knocking miles off like a used car.
20k on a car you would wonder how far the church was and how much build up there was from all those short trips.

CG has shorter travel suspension as well, so it is lower. some bigger riders have complained about bottoming out on speed bumps, etc. I've only had it happen once on some monster size speed bumps.
