EEPROM
The EEPROM data contains all the read write data within the ECM. Saving the EEPROM data will save everything, you do not need to save the Fuel Maps separately, except for convenience.
All the Fuel Maps, Ignition Maps, TPS value, AFV value etc are contained somewhere within the EEPROM data.

Save the fuel maps and load on to your stock eeprom and burn the maps on it . If its an older buell xb it's that simple .

If you post or pm me your email Ican probaly send you the race maps (eeproms) I have . I have most of them .

I saved that fuel maps and eeprom and got the '04 race eeprom from randy (hawk)

is the fuel map only really just for fine tuning?

also I did a tps reset and couldn't get my % to go below 10.6. So i just backed it all the way out hit reset and then brought it back to 5.5

that sound right?

Did you try popping the throttle ? Some times it sticks and if you pop it a few times it will go down to the real #/position . I'm fairly new to all of this but have done a lot of research and have been playing with my bike a lot too and I don't even understand why it would be at 10.6 more or less just being able to get it that low .
And as for the map question . The map is all you can flash over to your stock eeprom due to different firmware on the eeproms . When you save the maps its a msq file and doesnt contain a firmware number so you can flash it without complications . Make sure you save your stock eeprom and maps though because there are mixed reviews on how the race maps run due to climate , conditions , etc.... I am very pleased personally but who knows till you try it .

These aren't my videos but you may find them useful

cant figure out how to post youtube videos will update with links later

I just got done burning a race eeprom. it was the same firmware version so I assume I'm alright, everything went over well and besides the tps reset problem it runs great.
