from what I understand, the major difference between an S and SS remains in the frame.

it's the frame that determines the length of the bike and it's wheelbase. the swingarm is the same on a S and an SS right?

My question is:

Can I put the seat and it's subframe from an S on a SS?
will it fit?

thanks

Meant nope is different. It can be done though, but you will have to modify the S sub frame.

The S subframe on the Ss frame has been successful with some fabrication involved. You need to be skilled or know someone who is. DIY's w/pics are on the forum.

If you're looking to put a low seat on the Ss you can just shave the stocker down to suit your taste. Unless you get super lucky and find a Buell touring seat (these only fit the Ss) that's in good shape for a decent price, the aftermarket options are severely overpriced IMHO. If you have the money, they can custom make one for you though...
