Hello, I'm Italian and I'm very happy to have found this forum! Sorry if my english isn't always correct.
I have a 2004 Buell XB12S. I bought it in March 2005, I thought it was MY 2005, but instead is MY 2004, there is written "DATE MANUFACTURED APR 2004" and therefore it has 41 mm forks :( . There is much difference between 41 mm forks and 2005 43 mm forks? it's worth changing them in my Buell?
Thanks
Riccardo

Good question.. The only "performance" gain I can think of is there is more fluid so it stays cooler??? I also have a 04 and always the bigger forks but just because I think they look tougher...

my 09 scg has 41 mm and it handles great no problems with setting the wheel back down.iv never had problems with the fluid over heating with riding in temps over 100 deg. but the scg has less travel so that might help with the temp.my scg bottoms out easy but mainly due to short travel.i have ridden other buells with the 43 mm and didnt notice much difference.i would choose 43 over 41 if i had a choice but wouldnt waste money or time changing over for little or no difference in performance.
welcome to buellxb.

i want to go to the 43mm forks on my 03 9s because i have the progressive spring kit for the bigger forks, and it wont fit my 41mm forks
