Hello friends! I am a soon to be proud owner of a 2009 Buell XB12Ss with 2400 miles on it next week. It is black on black and in great condition and for $3900 i couldn't pass it up. I have owned several bikes and quads and after test riding the Buell I was soooooooooo sold on it. Should be picking it up next Wednesday. Hoping to mod it out asap. Johnbaum13 sent me here. ;-)

The bike: (dirty and lonely at dealer)

a freakin Hyundai pop-up ad blocked out your buy-in price but looks like a wonderful machine you bought there. remember these aren't Japanese throwaway appliance bikes. service it as recommended on this board and in the owners manual, use top quality lubricants in it, avoid hot weather stop and go riding whenever possible, resist the temptation to ride it vertically on the rear tire which is bald from cocktail lounge parking lot smoke shows...and you'll enjoy many years of virtually trouble-free riding on a pretty rare and fabulous bike. if you decide to "ride it like you stoled it" or get into the bike show "stunt riding" biz, you'll be on this site daily asking a ton of "what happened" and "how do i fix this" questions. glad you're keeping namesake alive. :)

Yeah, the popup blocked a lot of his post on me too. Nice bike. What was the purchase price?

Sweet bike and an incredible deal. I've been looking for an '09 SS. Let me know if you decide not to go for it as she would look great on the roads here in Kansas ;)Would even pay a finders fee since. HAVE FUN!

Great find, you'll love the bike. Looks like the exhaust has already been modded along with a few other things.

Great deal Jeweler, you will love that enging and handling. Get the exhaust done by Randy at Hawk. 1st rate service and sounds better than you can imagine. Runs great with that and a K&N. Ride safe, Merry Christmas to you!

Ha. Unbelievable. How about he'll do the mods that he feels like doing?

i get what youre trying to say, but pull them panties out of you a$$ half of the mods listed only help with the basic performance of the bike, and will help delete any of the small issues we have on the xb's

Wasn't trying to be rude, frosted. I'm unaware if he knows of any of the basic mods that can be done with these bikes and I simply wanted to give him a place to start. Whether or not he does them is certainly his choice. XB's run, sound, and look great with or without the mods I mentioned. Those were recommended to me when I bought mine, so I'm just passing on some helpful info to Google and learn more about :)

Yep, great deal. You got my bike for about $2600 less than I'd be willing to part with it for and 2,000 less miles. I really like my Ss though i've never ridden any other Buell.

Didn't end up buying this 09 due to it being a little rough and the owner lying about the milage.(4,900)

The bike i DID buy (2007 Buell XB12Ss)

Personally I wouldn't worry about the air box delete, doesn't really make much of a difference. If I were you the first things I would do is ECM spy K&N and a good exhaust, I prefer the Drummer SS but it's a bit spendy. Congrats
