I am looking to do the airbox delete to my newly acquired 2006 xb9sx.
I need some help with what values i will needto change, i have the ecm spy cable and a manual on the ecm spy but have never messed with it.

The bike is all stock. So just need the values that need to be changed for the airbox delete. Thanks

I will get some pics of my bike up soon, my daughter killed my desktop, so now stuck on the laptop.

No way to know until you datalogg your bike (turn off correction) so you will know whaat the injectors are needing. There is no "set" of values to just use for airbox delete, exhaust, or anything else.

You're approach is not the traditional way, and you should exercise caution when dealing with air/fuel values, meaning, don't ever change any value unless you know why you're changing it, and what the outcome will be with regards to your automatic fuel valve, or AFV.

So I have a few suggestions :

----just stop what you're doing.

----do more research on how to do this correctly

----talk to Max @ the tuniversity.

Well I was reading some posts about the airbox delete, and some have remapped, others have not. so if i dont need to do it, then thats awesome, i will read more about this remapping, that way i will be prepared if i ever had to do it.

Ecm should always be corrected for, most importantly, where you ride (altitude, weather, etc)

How you ride (track, cruise, etc)

Your bike with mods (right and left scoop, k&n, exhaust, etc)

With doing the airbox delete, yes you would benefit from remapping, however it would require only minuscule changes. Would be my guess

But still, don't just go adjusting values blind, datalogg YOUR bike WHERE you ride and HOW your ride. Make corrections from there.

Also keep in mind. The ebr race ecm was calibrated and datalogged with the assumption it was going on a bike with the race package. The ecm, the k&n, the race pipe (or some other aftermarket exhaust) when you do an airbox delete, or other modifications that could alter your ratios. Then yes it should be recorrected.

And also, the race ecm was datalogged in Wisconsin on a 75 degree day. You should fine tune based on altitude and temperature since its probably different depending on where you live.

lol, my computers fried, and I helped a buddy move his wife all day, was pretty tired last night. I will get some up today, i will put them in a seperate topic.
