Hi guys, has anyone done or got any information on converting from cable to hydraulic clutch actuation?

Thanks in advance
Limey.

for what i know, beringer & magura have a setup for buell.

the magura has a possible leak problem at the fitting...(from what i hear)

my techs are in the process of making their own...:eek:

Yes, buell fanatics has the best so far (they claim).
Also, look at the V-blast exhaust system with the remapped ecm, they sell along for X-tra catshingas ofcourse;
Otherwise Twin motorcycles (Martin & Dris) is releasing one now. They are all pretty expensive. But hey, if you buy one, tell us about it. I think the original -04 clutch ramp works splendid, even though i used to have Müller power clutch before. Yes, before i bought xtra clutch plate kit which is not compatible with Müller.
The Magura i would not buy. It's not without a reason Twin MC is releasing one.

Hi guys, I don't want to buy a clutch conversion kit off the shelf, need to make my own. Just one question: when you pull the clutch lever in, does the adjuster(bottom end) on the clutch go in (towards the gearbox?) haven't studied it yet,to busy riding to have a look! Still winters comming (UK)
keep safe all Limey.[cool]

don't know what you mean by the adjuster, but the spring is compressed when the lever is pulled in.
so that would mean that the plate is pulled outward.

That's a shame cos I was hoping that the diaphragm spring was compressed to put the clutch in,which meant that I could use a Kawasaki clutch slave cylinder to press the spring in,(did this on my Rickman & Harris) will have to have a re-think.

Just found out that Metamachex over here in the UK make a conversion,at a good price, will report back later after some investigation!

Don't know, both I suppose but it's a bank holiday today (Monday)so everything is shut til Tuesday.

i know metamachex got stuff for the tubers, but don't know of any for the xb range.

I have a Magura, apparently there is a new version out now. I'm hoping it corrected the leak issue. Should find out within a month or so when I get the bike up and running.

None of my bikes have hydraulic clutches, but the bikes I have ridden with them are pretty smooth, maybe they have more power than a cable as well?
