Guys,
I have an XBR9 engine which I want to put into my slimline Norton featherbed frame and run single carb heads. Obviously I am building an old school looking cafe racer. Can I run a front cylinder head on the rear? Will a pair of 36mm PHF Dellorto's work on the donk - good low down and mid range is more important to me than full on horsepower.

Sound advice would be greatly appreciated.

there are a few v-twins that have dual/inverted carbs; where the carbs sits between the heads and are back 2 back with one another while mounted. as far as front/back heads u'll run into backwards placement on most where the gaskets/rockers/covers are the wrong way.

Thanks for your reply 07 - I didn't quite get your last sentence - do you mean that fitting a front xbr head, (with the exhaust port facing forwards) onto the back barrel will work??
