08 1125r what would you pay.

I am looking at an 08 1125r with just over 8000 miles. The bike is all stock as far as I know, with one little tiny scrape on the left side swing arm.. doesnt appear that it went down.. maybe just scraped against something.
They've thrown book value at me, I think I should be able to get it for a little less considering.

I'd like you're opinions---Im trying to rejoin the buell fam!

not too sure I paid $5500 for my 09 with like 3XXX on it unfortunatly the VR went out on the ride home, but once thats fixed its all good, I figured around 6XXX for an 09 112r sorry i guess thats not really helpful I just wouldnt pay anything near 7000
 
Nice! the only thing you have to keep an eye on with the '08s is the clutch weep. not nearly as bad as the stator issue with the '09+ models, but can be a pain in the ass.
 
I'll keep an eye out. I i like the bike a lot... I will ride it for a while... however, I still have my eye on the rc8 ;)
 
Had to dump an 08 R with only 1700 miles on it for $4800 after it sat on our show room floor for 3 and a half months. Market is pretty dead for 1125's where I am at, might be better elsewhere.
 
If I were you I would not go any higher than 5,500.

I bought my immaculate 09 w/3800 miles on it for 5,300 8 months ago. I had a bearing let go and it took out the motor 1000 miles later. A 2010 motor was installed under warranty and I just sold it for 6,500. I think I did well on both transactions so that should give you an idea of pricing relative to the bikes condition.
