I've decided to sell my 07 Buell XB12SCG. I just bought it back around Thanksgiving, but my wife isn't real happy with me having another street bike. I've not really ridden it at all since buying it going into winter. My job isn't going to permit my to ride it until next spring most likely, so I figure I'll just sell it.

I bought it from the original owner. It has 29K miles on it. Seems high at first, but not really if you consider how much actual riders ride. The original owner's 60-something year old dad put all the miles on it, except for the first 2k. He and his son would do random trips during the week and on weekends. He was a total gearhead like myself, so the bike has been excellently maintained. The only mod the bike has, it the headlight mod, where both lights burn.

Bike has never been down or scratched in any way. Here is a list of items I have with it:

-Owner's Manual
-Buell Service Manual
-ECM Spy software (never used on it)
-ECM cable
-Buell tail bag
-oil filter

I have the title in hand. No leins. I don't have any good pics of it at the moment, but hopefully it will be sunny out on Monday, and I can have some then. Bike is the Cherry Bomb Red color. Super clean, and unmolested. Just installed a brand new battery. Bike has ALWAYS been garage kept.

I'm asking $4700 OBO. If serious about buying, give me a call or email, and we can negotiate a price from there. [email protected] or 859-519-6919

Why the jump in the bikes value?

"I paid $3500 for my 07 Scg a few weeks ago. It has 28K on it, but has been maintained extremely well. Very clean, and I feel was well worth what I paid. My bike was ready to ride as is. If you have to start buying stuff for it, then consider what a fair price is for you."

supply-demand.

I would appreciate it if you would refrain from posting in my thread if you don't have anything positive to add.

What an unqualified response @KYmxracer52. You are trying to make some money. Are you feeling bad about that? Maybe you should have refrained from posting the buying price.
Your asking price is high anyway. This ebay offer (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/?cmd=ViewItem&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649&item=190639942930&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT) has been posted for the 3rd time and has not sold. And that is an 08 with 12.xxx miles.
Now you are likely giving me the same response you gave @Spud - go ahead.

haha owned. and i think that post was very useful for all the other members on the forum. he merely pointed out you are tying to flip it for a $1200 dollar profit. dont try to take forum members for fools. [up] Spud

Like I stated previously, if you you're not interested in buying the bike, please refrain from posting in this thread. I don't want your B.S. clutter in here. If you feel the need to complain about my asking price, send me a PM, or call the number listed in my ad.

I guarantee you that I'm not the only member on this forum who has bought a Buell, and then later sold it for more than he purchased it for. Thanks for understanding.;)

Ky, This is a public forum. You can ask for people to stay out of your thread but just as easily they don't have to listen. With that said how would you feel if you were in the market for a new bike, you whent to a Buell site in hopes of finding one and everyone there just remained silent when the seller clearly was trying to take advantage? This IS your fault for posting your buying price in another thread, otherwise most of us would have just looked at this add and said Hmm and moved on. I think you may be confused about who your trying to sell to. I've been around here long enough to say "Buell" people will watch out for their Bro's. Yeah, thats a GOOD thing.

Two things:

1. Nothing inherently wrong with trying to make money off a bike (or off anything for that matter - media has been demonizing profit motive lately so had to get that in there).

2. I think the price is a bit high based on what I've seen on here but you might find someone who wants it!

GLWS

Cheers

Just put it on CL for your original asking price. When you post on here, you are obviously going to be dealing with well-informed buyers who have followed your posts and all of that. You will have a way easier time selling for that price to some random guy on CL. Hopefully.

Burton is exactly right, and I think that is all everyone is trying to say. Nothing wrong with trying to make a profit, this just probably isnt the best place to expect to do it. Good thing is all these posts keep your thread right at the top. Glws.
