tripple tree question

After my run today at the park I saw a buell at a Jolly Pirate so pulled over and talked to the guy for about 30 mins. He has an 05 xb9 firbolt and i have a 08 xb12 scg. He was asking me if i would switch him bars. I was wondering if it would work and if it would how about the ignition switches? what would you do with them?
ps: his firebolt only has 800 miles on it...!!! i told him he need to go ridin with me we will put 200 on it in an evening :D
