Bike won't start after crankcase breather mod

I did the crankcase breather mod on my 09 xb12r with jardine exhaust and the bike would try to turn over but it seemed there was no gas or no spark. I change it back to the oem setup and the same problem occurs. I then checked to see if I had accidentally messed with any connections but I don't notice anything. Any suggestions as to what it could be? I had followed the installation from this tutorial.

Thanks, Erik

Well you only disconnect one thing that's electrical and it'll still run even if you forget to hook that up... somethings fishy here.

I just did the breather reroute on my 07 xb9r and everything runs great, like Dusty says it still should run because when you do the mod there is only one connection that is taken off,but I would go back and check all that you did on it to make sure nothing was knocked loose.

I dont know whats its called so some gear head can chime in, but did u reconnect the hose the goes to the fuel tank? Up top by the triple trees?

Also check for any pinched lines or 90 degree bends. I would double check all your routing.

There is a spark plug clearing feature on the 1125's that I believe is on the XBs per a post I read on here yesterday. Might try that.

I checked all fuses. Not aware of one under ther seat. But it seems I have power to everything and my relays are good. I didn't touch any fuel lines but Ill go back and check.

There is no fuse under the seat of a firebolt. Is it in the run position? Do you hear the fuel pump when bike is turned on and in the run position?

bike would try to turn over
Have you checked your battery?
What exactly do you mean by "try to turn over"?
A little hesitation when you hit starter button then spins good, or a slow spin over?

I'm no gear head but that's just a vent line for over filling tank I believe. That shouldn't prevent it from starting.

Dumb question, got plenty of gas?

I didn't mean turn over, it is trying to start but the engine won't turn. Seems like no gas I getting in. Maybe some part of my ignition system went coincidentally?

I change it back to the oem setup and the same problem occurs.
Completely unnecessary, put it back.

If you mean the engine is cranking but not catching & firing then you've got fouled plugs. Swap them out for NGK Iridiums (DCPR9EIX). Bike is so new, I doubt it's the battery, though check those connections & grounds as well...

Don't change plugs yet. Someone should have the anti foul directions. It's a post.08, so.it should work. Same as 1125... I think its full throttle, switch to run, turn key to on. do not start. This fires plugs for 4 seconds clearing chamber. What I do is right hand full throttle, left hand turn bike to run then left hand turn key... Wait. Key off, switch off, throttle off. Throttle on, amd repeat. Do not start. You should eventually hear a sort of fart.. this is it burning off plugs.
