2002 Buell Blast Stator Plug

Hello,

Just picked up a 2002 Buell Blast and the stator plug is leaking. is it easy to DIY or should i take it in?

Pics? Not sure what location you are referring to. Did you just buy it from a dealer? Private seller?

Privaet Seller, the previous owner took it in to the Phoenix Chandler Harley Davidson shop and had 5 other leaks fixed. the mechanic advised him that the stator plug was also leaking. bike still runs how ever its burning alot of oil and a lot of smoke.

Sorry i am newbie to the forum and a new Buell owner. i have work on my other previous motorcycles. I just dont want to get over my head on trying to fix my self.

That whole thing is bull, even if it was leaking it would be a small leak coming out out starter side - ride it a bit, keep an eye on the oil level and let us know where you find oil.
