Just a Quick question, I'm looking at the 1190RS pictures on EBRs' webpage and the ZTL brakes look beefier, are they just the ZTL2 brakes with the EBR 6mm finned brakes for the 1125 series bikes that you can buy? Or if I'm wrong can anyone enlighten me please. Thanks in advance.

Same ztl2 caliper, but rotor is an 1190 exclusive. I don't think they even see then

Calipers are the same, obviously the rotor is different and I only know of one person who has one of the rotors on his street bike since it was a used rotor off one of the 1190's.

I spoke with EBR last spring and was told due to minimal production numbers the 1190 rotor would only be available for those and not for sale to the general racing bikes or street use.

The new slotted rotor works very well with the 2015 race pads. The 6 mm rotor is one pound heavier than the slotted one.

I checked that out and when I get a 1125R this summer I plan on trying those brakes. Also I saw this:

IS that a new EBR part? been on EBR's web page a lot in the past and never seen that before until today.

That's been in the works for a while. Pics of it got leaked about 6 months ago, lots of speculation and they got pulled. It's nice to see a price attached to it finally. Should lower the operating temp on the stator for the newer model 1125's.

Personally, I never really thought that dropping a leg of the charging system was a good fix.

I have one and installed it with the EBR hardware after the old rotor did a lot of pulsing on application. I don't have the issue anymore.

You'll need the master cylinder too

So any of you use them with the 2015 brake pad compound also?

Talk to D_Adams about that

Yep, much improved over an essentially brand new stock rotor and ebc hh pads. I had less than 700 miles on them, swapped out last Friday night for the current setup. $400 for rotor, pads and mount kit, well worth the coin.

Hi at all, I have the old 5mm finned and drilled rotor and it works very well. In your opinion the new slottet rotor is better than the old one? There are less cooling in the new one that isn't drilled?

Thanks

If I'm correct that's the same rotor that EBR runs on the race bike and if they can run it on the race bike without it over heating then I think you'll be just fine.
