Let me start of by saying this this bike is absolutely PERFECT! Never been dropped, stunted etc.. Washed weekly by hand and waxed regularly. Stored indoors during off season months and always hooked to a battery tender..Also spent a couple winters in S. Florida.. Its been rained on maybe twice and always stored under a covered parking. I am extremely meticulate and take pride in my belongings.. I purchased this bike in May of 2009 from a doctor out in Southern Cali which had a collection of bikes. He purchased an extended warranty for aprox. 1k just before he sold it to me. fortunately the bike gave me no major problems besides a speed sensor and a premature warped front rotor which was covered under the extended warranty.. Note: they did not pay for the EBR Racing Rotor, I decided to upgrade at that point and shelled out the extra cash while they covered the labor. I also run Amsoil in both holes and is changed at the start of every new season.. The service is on spot and up to date although the bike is easy to maintain...
Mileage 9500+
I moved to Michigan from Chicago and don't have time to ride anymore from a pleasure stand point... I also just bought an AMG so I can easily crave the urge for adrenalin every now and then :]
The bike has many upgrades:
New front and rear tires 300.00
(aprox -1000 miles is an over estimate)
New Erik Buell Racing Front rotor plus hardware and pads 260.00
(Tons of STOPPING power)
New BRAKING rear wave rotor and pads 260.00
(Lighter and runs cooler w/ agressive wave for ultimate stopping power)
Drummer Exhaust (original Drummer) 425.00
(The BEST pipe.. ask any Bueller out there)
Erik Buell Racing Race Pre Programed ECM 305.00
(Compliments the pipe and K/N.. It's also Erik's fine work so enough said)
Air Box Delete w/ K/N Filter 75.00
(I run K/N on everything.. a no brainer)
XBlights rear led tail light 200.00
(Pricey but I want to be SEEN! It does it's job very well)
Front Head light modulator w/sensor
(When daylight the high beam blinks because you want to be SEEN!)
JAT Racing dual circuit led turn signals 160.00 @ 4
(VERY bright hence the price, Dual circuit is used when brakes applied the blinkers also light up red.. The fronts are also wired to my horn, I call it the deaf mans horn!) It was very useful in Chicago to lay on your horn complimented by a pair of super bright red LED's)
Diesel Moto Rear fender eliminator 200.00
(Cleans up the rear end)
Black Pipe Wrap
(keeps the hot stuff in)
New NGK Plugs aprox 500 miles
(smooothe acceleration.... After the mods were done I had a Chicago dealer inspect the plugs to ensure I wasnt running to lean nor rich.. I was told they looked perfect so I replaced them anyway)
THE BAD (I know I said the bike was PERFECT!!!)
Clutch Cable is surface rusted at the adjustment point where it is usually covered by a silicone boot.. I would not try to adjust it with the possibility of breaking it.. This seems to be a common problem, once water/condensation gets in it has no way of getting out..
Timing plate has an extremely minor oil sweat.. just needs a new rubber gasket.. a 20 min job with a drill, rivet gun and a new rubber gasket.. Its so minor once washed it takes a couple weeks to reappear. once again this is not a leak just a very minor sweat.
