Just wondering if anyone liked something better for an all around tire for their XB9SX than the Pirelli Scorpion Syncs. I live in Indiana, so lots of weather changes. Also would like opinions on the Pirelli Angel ST tires as those look like what I'd get instead. Opinions on brands besides Pirelli are welcome, just going with what I know for now (which isn't much).

Bridgestone BT016's. Dual compound for increased longevity, high silica content for good wet-weather performance, awesome cornering capabilities, and they're pretty darn cheap. When I had to replace the Sync's on my STT (punctured the rear and couldn't fix it for the life of me--Seattle rain probably contributed--lol!), I bought the Bridgestones. I really liked them on my GSXR1000, and they worked great on my Buell. When the Pirelli's on my current S wear out, its getting a set of Bridgestones. And please note that I'm not a brand "blind loyalist"--I use Dunlop on my Aprilia, and Pirelli's on my KTM....

I have Michelin Pilot Power 2's and I love them. I don't recall anyone complaining about the stock tires though... Do they still make them?

It looks like they aren't making them anymore, but you can still find them if you look, for for the time being. Thanks for the feedback!

IMO, Syncs are expensive, a bit heavy, and well, a bit odd on our bikes (unless on an STT or a Uly).

I am a big fan of Metzeler Roadtec tires, they stick great and have a long life. I started using Metzelers with all of the BMW's and have stuck with them. As soon as the stock tires wear out I put on Metzelers.
