Installed my hidden brembo today and have run into a couple issues, thought I'd reach out for some advice on possible solutions.
Issues:
1. Pads rub against the rotor, there's no space between the rotor and pads. Is there an adjustment that can be made?
2. I've bled the brakes until all bubbles were eliminated, but I can't get the brakes to engage enough to stop the bike.
3. Does the hidden brembo require a longer brake line? My line seems too tight as iminting be under stress as the swing were to bounce up and down. If you notice on the pic below, it doesn't wrap in front of the oil cap, but is stretched behind it.

My biggest concerns are obviously eliminating the rubbing and getting the brakes to actually function.
Thanks in advance

It looks like I would be getting a longer line, I know on some models like my 12r the stock line works and is not close to the wheel like that. The function of the brake is not good without upgrading to the brembo master cylinder, I need to do this still but I can use my rear brake for slow speeds in the city and trail braking. Idk how to help the issue of rubbing pads except that if they are new they will rub a bit till they wear down a little. There is a thread that's going on now about the master cylinder upgrade find it and read up on it, it might help you decide what to do about the power of the brake.

Make sure that the rod at the master cylinder (and the brake pedal/linkage) have sufficient play and are not being depressed.

This is a brembo upgrade.
And my stock line in the first picture works fine but it's because of the OEM cylinder being positioned up top. The brembo I have needs to have the brake line run into the right side vs the left, or get a longer line I guess.
Make sure that the rod at the master cylinder (and the brake pedal/linkage) have sufficient play and are not being depressed.
I will give that a look, but I didn't adjust any of those you listed. I just replaced the line because it was attached to the brembo. Would removing pressure from the line cause those changes?
Thanks for the input

Move the line to the top spot.
spread the pads with a big screw drive off the bike place a wood block etc to keep the caliper spread.
Bleed off the mount wth the bleader being pointed straight up.
If this caliper isn't designed for the bleader to be moved (tapered for bleader both holes same size ) get a longer line.
These caliper work fine with stock master

Thanks RT. I'll give it a try.
Yep I bought this from a forum member, good dude so I'm confident it's not the caliper, but more user error!

So I got the brakes to engage more, but not completely and still rubbing pretty bad. I think the rotor is getting way too hot. Wheel won't spin freely without the scraping of the pad?
Any other ideas?

Brakes are fully engaged, but I can't keep the pads off the rotor. Eff it! To the shop it goes.

How bad are the pads rubbing on the rotor?

The wheel won't spin freely and you can hear them scraping. I rode 30 yards down the street, came back, flicked some water drops on the rotor and they sizzled to evaporation immediately.
I believe that's too got for that minimal amount of distance.

Put your other caliper back on. If it does the same thing you know it's not the caliper. If it doesn't then the caliper is bad or has been setting too long and has foreign material in it make it bind up.
Btw you do need a longer brake line with that style of calpier. I did this style caliper and you dont have to get a new line.

I still need to switch my line around. But you get the idea.

My OEM was fine. No problems. Made the change for aesthetics primarily, I was fine with the function of the OEM.
Does your brembo 'click' when it engages? It almost feels like anti-lock brakes, kind of surges. I thought there were bubbles in the line, but I have gone through about a pint of brake fluid and several hours overall bleeding the line.

No clicking noises. I only made about four bleeding cycles and all the air was out.
