I have a 09 XB12Ss and this is what I know, but there is probably more. Frame is longer than a standard S, basicly a SST/Uly frame, giving 4.4 gal fuel capacity. Rear swing arm is longer giving it more trail. And last it has 23.1 deg of rake compared to 21 deg on the S. Not quite as nimble as the S or R, but more stable and extra room for 2-up riding.

Correct on the Ss, compared to an S model. Scg is lower seat and suspension than the S.
SS frame is the same length, just thh swingarm is longer. However, the frame is wider on the SS compared to the S.

so the ss is longer and wider, the scg is lower, and the s is like the standard?
