I have an 07 xb12s.. I can usually get around 120 miles per tank. Does this seem right

Depending on how I ride I can hit 120 as well but average about 140.

I guess it also depends on how far you let the tank go before filling up, I am normally right about the 3 gal mark, when I let go of the gas pump.

I have an '08 xb12s and I usually get around 110 miles before the light turns on. I do roughly 30% city and 70% highway and I average around 40 mpg. Kinda sad considering I used to get over 50 on my '06 gsx-r600...

No not sad. Youre current bike has double the displacement.

I recently went on a highway ride and averaged 55 mpg with the light coming on at 151 miles. I filled up and still had 3/4 gallon in tank.

34,000 miles total on bike.

i'm with lesley on this one. he and i ride pretty conservatively and keep our bikes in good state of tune. i have flirted with 60mpg but always in low to mid 50's.

I been getting 47 avg riding to work and back. Quite a few red lights along the way of the 13 mile one way. I have a Hawk plus K&N. I am happy with it.
