I went on 2 1/2 hour ride from Bakersfield to Victorville, CA,, i have noticed my clutch lever is get weaker as I got there in Victorville on Friday, met my friend there, he's from Fontana, CA. took some photos shoot, then suddenly my clutch lever just went dead, no clutch disengages, had to leave in 1st gear ride to Victorville Harley Davidson dealer, they found the primary chain cover damaged where the ramp cam support broke, they didnt have new cover in stock, so they found a used cover, they replaced the used cover, im wondering if it will ever happen again? my bike is 2008 XB9SX with 13K miles, i have never modified anything on bike, just signal lights, i ride normally. is there a way to repair the cover? maybe fabricate a metal plate and bolt on than replace whole cover? i love this Buell, cant ride without it… thanks for advance inputs.
