Hello,

I tested ohms on my 2006 Lightning SS- It came back .58 closed 2.7 open . According to another thread this is too low and may be the sign of a bad sensor. Voltage came back .7 -4.2

Also according to ASB TPS 213 from Autozone, is not for my Buell. And neither is the 2008 as mine has the 2 orange dots, does anyone know of another part #?

Thanks in advance for info!

never mind the question as to which TPS Sensor. I just confirmed w the dealership the part # is the same across the board 29537-99Y for 2006

actually after speaking w asb, the dealership had it all wrong.... shocking. they were about to sell me the wrong part. good looking out asb.

IRide, I dug out a spare throttle body I have and that has the later TPS with Orange dot. That measures 4.08K ohms across the sensor.
Measuring from the sensor moving contact that measures 566 ohms at the butterfly fully closed position and goes up to 3.817 Kohms at fully open open.

In theory, with 5volts applied to the sensor it would vary from 0.69 volts to 4.67 volts on the moving contact. The spec in the manual is 0.5 - 1.5 volts at the closed position to 3.9 - 4.9 volts fully open.

thanks man, i ordered the new sensor. doubt it will fix the issue after checking out the manual myself for the first time. but it doesn't hurt to replace that and the rear temp sensor after 6 years. i want to go through the manual and check timing and whatever else it recommends. thanks man.

I'm curious what issue you were having iRide, and did replacing the sensors help? I've been having some issues on my 07' and I'm wondering if a replacement of the same sensor would help...

It didn't help to replace the sensor other than piece of mind moving forward. It was a bad ecm. Plus I had an intake leak around the TPS. The rpms jumped up whenever I shot it with wd40. I also had the timing advanced just a bit so I corrected that too.

For sure, I noticed that about posters here. Yes its working great now! Thanks. The from wheel comes right up off the ground w no effort now and its a whole new bike going down the freeway. I feel like it cud be smoother 1st thru 3rd at lower speeds. But that cud be TPS reset or maybe plugs or something simple.
