So I've have my firebolt since April. When I got it the headlights were duller than dull. After research I discovered that the early model headlights wore out pretty quickly. So I replaced not only the bulbs, but the entire headlights assembly with a brand new unit (I found a good deal on one and it wasn't much more than just new bulbs). So it was nice for a while but lately I cannot ride at night because the light cuts out under throttle.
At idle the headlight is bright enough but any type of throttle dims it. Then if I put the bike under normal street acceleration (or more) it is basically out. As in, I cannot see in an area without street lights. So I'm sure others cant see me either. Even when cruising at 3k+ plus I can tell its very dim (but still a little one because i see a dim light run on the road).
Whats going on here? I literally can't see and I love night riding so this is a big hindrance. Shouldn't the bike have a charging loop system (whatever you want to call it) that doesn't drain power away from the headlights when under throttle.
