As some of you may know i was having charging issues with my bike yesterday. It turned off on me on the side of the highway yesterday and I left it there on the shoulder. I returned for it and it was gone! Made a police report and it wasnt towed by any yard so I guess it was stolen. I live in san antonio tx so if anyone see her please let me know. It is a white 2006 xb12sshttp://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/11694_20120930122826_L.jpg

Does that road have any cams on it for a traffic camera? Maybe a local place may have a camera it could be caught on?

The thought of my bike being stolen terrifies me. Im also very paranoid and would walk it off the freeway or wait with it. Im really sorry that happened. Be positive! Hope it shows up

I wish you luck in getting it back, fortunately for us these things are rare enough that they are noticeable.

That bites. I grew up in a rough neighborhood. Had the same bike stolen twice (among countless other things). Amazingly, both times we found it and got it back! Reward money talked in my neighborhood. Got to ride in the back of a Detective's car once. One dude went to court, and jail I assume, but I never got restitution on the damage.

Good luck.

Sorry about your bike. My friend had his stolen and he got it back about 6 months later. Good luck, I love the story of the guy who saw his own stolen bike going down the road and got a little street justice[up]

Ahhh!! It's killing me. Everytime I hear a deep rumble I look around hoping to see my bike. That street justice sounds nice but I'd be happy just to get her back. I'm getting married this weekend in Galveston so ill be out of town for the weekend. The best wedding gift I could ask for is a phone call grok the police that they found it with no damage.

Wouldnt it be cool if it was "stolen" and being pimped out right now by none other than Erik B himself as a wedding gift. I wish and hope it shows up.

Theres a highway cam closer to 410 and Ih10. Which way was it heading Luc? I'll absolutely look for this one and know its not you on it If I see it heading out my way. I'm sorry to hear about it. And wish u the best this weekend.

my heart and apologies go out to you, sir. as a sidebar here for board members: most all states now require some form of minimal insurance to register every veh. in each state. make sure when you get your bike insured that you specifically ask for THEFT coverage. some companies are sneaky bastards and even though you have what they call "full coverage", "comprehensive coverage" or whatever...it might NOT include full theft replacement. ASK YOUR AGENT to be sure.

Sorry about your bike bro. I hope you get it back. Congrats on getting married. 10 Years in June for me. One of the best things that happened to me.

Thanks everyone, despite my bike being stolen the wedding was great! Borrowed my father in laws Harley and attached a just married sign to the back of it and drove through the rally. luc, where off of i10 did you see it? Someone responded to my cl ad and said they saw it on i10 & dezevala. Even my neighbor told me he saw it off of dezevala

And Texan I told the detective about the camera and he seemed really annoyed about my inquiry. He said that camera doesn't record and that I just need to wait for a phone call...

you need to form a posse and do you own investigation, several cameras and cell phones at the ready, call the cops when you find it and let 'em see the pics or video...also have your registration and drivers license on hand to show the cops when they arrive

in the future, take pics of your VIN, sticker and factory etched and the partial on the engine for reference, also pics of things that you only know of on the bike as proof, time/date stamped pics if possible....

good luck and congrats on your wedding, best wishes to you and yours
