Lately I've been having a harder time starting my bike. Have to give it a little gas usually or it will stall out. Tonight it wouldn't start at all and now it's flooded I believe. Any ideas to what's going on?

2003 xb9, Buell race exhaust, race ECM, K&N air filter, not sure if any of that makes a difference. It's been a lot colder around here lately (low 40s)

More than likely you've just fouled out your spark plugs. Its an easy fix and cheap. I'd try that first. I realize this time of year these bikes are sluggish about starting but its a fine between touching the throttle and flooding it out. These bikes are supposed to start on their own w/o blipping the throttle. Mine always had (38,000)

After checking your plugs. You may need to Reset your TPS and see what your Degrees are on your computer. The 2003 and many other Buells well all of them need the Throttle Position Sensor reset or Replaced from time to time. If you have ECM Spy and the Cable you can check out /Daves DIY videos all in one Thread, worded just like that here on the forum. Xoptiinside .com can help you with the Cable and the Drivers are usually free on the Site.
Check out that and if you need help with Tuning THE Tuniversity here on the forum just look here on the page for him and get better informed on Tuning your ride. IF you just want to Diagnous the bike the ECM SPY program software will do that with a little effort and your computer. The Cable and software is a great investment to keep you up and riding without being at the dealer.
REMEMBER the ECMSPY is a powerfull Software tool make sure to Save your Stock ECM Settings before you go into this. This way you have something to fall back on, in case of an opps!??? NOW, You also have an IDLE SCREW at the front left Air Scoop, Please do not touch that UNTILL you have checked the rest and watched the Videos.
The Older Version of ECMSPY is what you will need to get you up and running. 2008+ Buell Bikes have a different Version. The Tuniverisity is a small fee based school that is well worth the time to keep you riding. Post up when you can., let us know if you need some help the Videos are a great way to help you get an Idea. So as to get you in the right Direction.Take your time. Good Luck. *Jimi
