With all the seasonal chatter about winterizing and winter riding, I thought I'd share a recent purchase. The Battery Butler is cheap ($20 CDN), smart (doesn't over charge) and small. So far I am pleased with it as it seems to deliver better value than a typical battery tender.

It's nice that the BB comes with a ring terminal plug so that the seat does not need to be removed to charge the battery.

I'd recommend the BB to anyone looking for a simple cheap way to keep the XB charged and ready to go year round.

"Winterize" is just another word for defeat!

I use this one

Nice thrst, looks quite a bit fancier than the Battery Butler which is just a plug-in-and-walk-away charger. Also looks like there are several modes and functions(?) what do they do?

thanks...nah, it's a plug and walk away also, nothing fancy or functions, just has three LED's to tell you when it's charging, amber light, charged, green light and you're screwed:D the dreaded red light letting you know it's bad with an circled ! is all. have had it for about 5 yrs and still works great
