Ok I have a problem the return oil line on my Buell XB9s has melted and I found a small hole. I found some on ebay but for 06 XB12 and I'm not sure that they will work. Some I come here and ask my fellow Buellers if any of you would know. I know I can go have it made but it won't be a steel braided line and I don't just want a ruber line. Thanks for yout help.

Are you referring to any of these lines? Number 4 possibly?

These lines are for '06 and later. The '03-'05 have different lines. They run under the engine case to the bottom of the swing arm. You can see these run to the too of the swing arm

you may need to upgrade to the new oil lines, here's the kit # H0044.02A8 @ surdyke.com $110.43, LSHD1.com $106.40...by far the cheapest, google search also brings up the pdf instruction sheet for it www.harley-davidson.com/en_US/Media/.../-J02984.pdf

Yes I have a 03 and yes its #4 I'm looking for but the pic above is diffrent from what I have. So I have to look for 03-05 ok thank you and I'll also look at the new oil lines.

let me know if you need the part number or illustration, I have an '03 also

where in California are you, you've got an '03 SL cali model

OK I looked at both the web sites but they don't tell me what I want to know. Like are they steel braided line or rubber and will they fit my year of bike? Has anyone bought these for their 2003 XB9S?

Thrstrmech I live in Lincoln CA north of Sacremento.

Here are the two pages from my '04 lightning book. Oil lines will be the same. I believe you're looking for #15 p/n: HS0023.1AD.

Thanks for the info above. I too have an 03 (XB9R Firebolt) and on the LA Ride For Kids run Sunday, my oil lines wore through each other. According to my local source (after they laughed about having a Buell), the national locator shows only two kits left (Pt# H0044-02A8)...one in Vermont and the other in Pennsylvania. Plenty of kits in Europe.
:p
I am looking into having new lines made from my existing leads, will let you know my findings
