This is probably a super stupid question.... and let me remind you that i know a fair bit about bikes and automobiles, but im young and still dont know alot. so please dont make fun of me for this, im not trying to act like i know alot, im just asking a simple question and just wanted to know the answer.

on some of the buell 1203 motors, the right side of the bike on the crankcase? im not sure if thats what it is, ...like , i dont know what its called, but where the little round plate logo is, ive noticed some dont have that and instead have a different case all together that has like a more oblong where the round emblem would regularly be. what is the difference in the motor? cause im looking for a new bike, and if i dont get the 1125cr, im probably gettin the scg or xb12r and i want to know the difference. thanks.

Wow, thanks alot. ive been wondering about that for a while and just figured out how to start a new topic. thanks for answering my question. WHat is the difference in oil pump? was there a big problem with the others or did they just improve it cause they could? and what is that case cover called exactly so i dont sound like an idiot next time. [sad] thanks

the older isn't 100% aligned causes higher wear...they made an adjustment by making & selling the beryllium drive-gear.

but still, the newer oilpump is better...quality wise. i just don't like the look as much :p
