08 xb12s shut down while riding

my 08 xb12s shut off while riding down the road at around 60 or so i was weaving in and out of the lines in the road and it was like i just reached up and cut it off. at first it ackted like it wanted to start but wouldnt now it only spins over. its my only ride and my first buell so all the info is greatly accepted thank you.

Simple stuff first, check battery cables, fuses, and battery condition. Did it throw a check engine light?

check your fuel pump fuse.

More info required, check engine light comes on? Can you hear the fuel pump prime? History? Recent repairs?

First steps are check connections and fuses. Next is if fuel or spark related. Adding some fuel to the intake can aid, if it fires up when adding fuel its fuel issues, if not suspect plugs fouled, wires possibly coil. Even crank or cam sensor depending on year.

had the same issue with me today on my 07 xb12Ss. I was riding going about 60 and all of a sudden my gauges went crazy and loss all power, pulled over released the clutch and it cut off. After about 30 min trying to figure out what the problem was I called a tow truck, after about 5 min of me getting off the phones I realized the two screws on the battery terminals were loosed. tightened them up and i was on my way.
