I have a silly question, so I know I will get silly answers.

I have exactly 4,999.0 miles on my 09 R, so I need to get the 5,000 mile service done. Thing is, there are group rides scheduled for wed and thurs night that I don't want to miss. Any problems the dealer is going to have by going a couple hundred miles over the service mileage?

Oh, I know it would only take one day, but the dealer had to replace my front rocker cover gasket under warranty, as it is seeping oil.

I would call your dealer service dept. When you talk to them get the persons name so if you show up and they say you voided your warranty you know who you talked to that said it would be fine. Then that guy can explain why and you'll be covered. They can be real dicks. 5,001 miles is over the warranty specs. They will probably be cool though, but error on the side of caution.
