WTT Seat Rails

2005 XB12Scg : I currently have the hammertone seat rails on my bike, and they are in pretty good shape. I am looking to trade someone for a black set. Hopefully someone in the Southbay (Long Beach,CA) area. Don't really want to get into sending parts across America.

I know this limits my possibilities.

Just do what i did, paint them. Its a hell of a lot easier than finding black ones.

Nice! Any particular type of paint you guys used? I'm not up on acrylics...dont want to F^$k mine up....heheh

used stripper from home depot, several coats to remove the paint, aluminum primer then Krylon outdoor paint followed by satin clear (same brand) x 3 coats each, has held up well

you want to tape off where the grounds are on either side of the rails, also all the threaded points, and the top mounting points of the rails where they meet the frame (grounding purposes), when you remove the rails you'll notice that area isn't painted
