I wish you luck on finding someone to trade. I have heard of others finding someone to trade on here, you just have to get lucky that someone with an Scg is wanting to "raise" it. I sought for months on here to find someone to trade for the same reason to no avail. Finally ended up purchasing a new Scg rear shock (about $230 or so) and "slipping" the front fork tubes in the triple trees about an inch or so. Have not regretted it - that did the trick - I can report it is a viable solution. Wish you the best on your lowering project.

/\ Yes, you remove the cover piece from the top triple tree, which then gives you access to remove the ring clip from the groove toward the top of each fork tube. This will then enable the tube to be slipped before re-torquing the triple tree clamp hardware.

You can't slip the forks on a lightning though, the forks will hit the handlebars and not move far.
