I am looking to buy or trade all items needed to convert an 1125R to a CR. If you have what I need or want to convert your CR to an R let me know.

Spend the extra money upfront for a cr. no one who has a cr wants a r that's why they bought a cr.
Sorry to be a dick it's just true and your going to waste more money. IMO.

Problem is I can't find a low mileage CR close to Nashville within $1500 of the 2 R bikes here.

Wait
3k CR's made - figure 800 might be wrecked in the last 4 years = 2200 out there and probably 2100 of us bought ours because the R looks like chit and wouldn't be interested in the conversion. The math's not going to work in your favor here.
Think I just saw a CR in Cali for $4k - under their ridiculous mileage limit for a used motorcycle so they can't sell it to anyone wanting to keep it in the state. Have a forum member go check it out for you and, if it checks out, get it shipped. Basically what I did for mine from FL a couple months ago.

What were the differences in the r and CR? I have an 1125r and all I want is that badass headlight and bug shield. I can still use my same gauge cluster right? I have only found the conversion done to an XB12. I figured it would be easier on my bike.

Cluster I believe is the same. Mounting point for ign, and bars are different, brake and throttle cables are longer. the cluster mounts on a different style bracket. the upper triple tree is different as well. It is a little involved, but not to bad. Just time and some money. You should be able to do it in an afternoon.
