Normally ride a Harley, but bought a Buell this year. I think one of my favorite aspects of the bike is that even a mechanically declined person like me can do the mods and upgrades (pretty much thanks to this website). Bike came with LED rear signals on the tail chop, and I hated the long ass front signals. Took apart the headlight housing, man those Torx bits were a bische! I replaced them with 7/16 bolts for easier removal when I decide on HID. Either way, put the old rear signals ups front with some LED bulbs, and did the LED relay fix at the same time. Everything is working great, just had to wrap the entire relay in tape a few times since I chopped the thing into 4 pieces.

I test drove a different 9 for a buddy this morning that was looking to buy one. This one was all stock, but felt like it had more pep than mine, a little more responsive. Mine has K&N along with Jardine, and from what I'm reading, should mean I need to do an ECM upgrade or "map" the current one...??

Certainly it's not unheard of for an aftermarket pipe and/or filter to actually have a bit of a negative effect on performance until re-jetting or remapping has also been done.
I'll bet an EBR ECM will make a noticeable change for the better.
