Where is the best place to find bottom end parts for an 2007 xb12s? More specifically I need a connecting rod bearing..crank end...but I'm being told I need to purchase the whole assembly...crank, rods, etc. as it is sold as one unit. Is this true? I've been through google and there aren't many results. Any help would be appreciated.

Not from a Harley dealer. Wish I had a better suggestion but I can tell you at least to stay away from them. I've ended up paying Harley up to 3 times the price other parts shops charge. Wish I could be more helpful

And yes...It will be an assembly. The flywheels/rod pin and rods are preseed together then balanced as a unit. Very generic description, but hopefully it helps you understand. If you get to see a pic, you'll get it.

Sorry...I MEANT Darkhorse, NOT Ironhorse. I don't where my brain came up with that! Like Eric said, they have a good rep there. I've not had any built by them (yet!), but in my research, I've spoken with John there, and just from the knowledge I expereienced from talking with him, they've got it together there.

Just saving this post. I may have a solution for you. I have to debate on it though still
