My girlfriend and I are taking my XB9R to Cherokee, NC in September to take a nice long weekend together with no kids! I have never been up in that area and just figured I would ask for suggestions on places to ride. We will have two full days and two half days up there. She is a good photographer so picture taking is a must. We both love the turns and I know there will be plenty of that to ride but just thought I would ask for suggestions of places that we can ride to and check out, fun roads, take pictures and just have a nice time. Restaurant suggestions would be cool too!
Thanks for any and all suggestions.

421 in east TN in Bristol area is good. the blueridge parkway is great for pictures but corners are slow with 35 mph speed limit. the dragon is the obvious one but if you go there trust you me you want to go to the cherahola skyway. where are you coming from? if you find yourself around east TN holler at me.

We are in Charleston, SC. I have not been in the mountains on a bike in about 10 years and am really excited about getting back up there. My last handful of years has been tuff so a fun weekend up there with my wonderful girlfriend is something that I am really looking forward to!

I was thinking of running the Dragon. I have always heard about it and would love to ride it at least once. Is it safe to run it riding two up on the XB9R ? We will be riding a smart pace, I never do anything stupid with her on the back.

I think we will be in the area. Labor Day weekend is when we are coming up. Will getting there Friday and pulling out on Monday.
