My check engine light is on on my Buell Ulysses. The bike seems to run fine other than the light being on. Anyone have an idea?

Think you should get an ECMspy and software, it will give you a fault code then.

First welcome to the Forum . Now what year is your bike, miles and such? Possible yellow light OR cel is on due to a change has been made to the bike. IF no changes Like Exhaust Muffler and so forth has been done then get a voltmeter a digital works well. Check at the battery while running around 2'500 RPMs should be 13.6 to 14 volts. You might need to read up on your bike and check here on the forum TOP of the Page and get a list of the Codes and what the numbers mean for any problems.. Make sure the fan is coming on after the bike has been running 10 minutes or so once the Engine has been shut down.. Once you check the Charging System when you get the chance. Make sure the Battery Terminals are Snug also.
ECM Spy while a great tool for the older Buells 2007 on back is not for use with a 2008 or newer buell without other software to be used. You can also use your Data Port Plug to diagnous your bike also. More on that later. post up once you have checked voltage first.
There are several areas that can make the Cel (yellow light) come on Voltage/ Fan/ inneractive Exhaust Actuator under the Air box Lets not get to far ahead, MOST likely it is hopefully an easy fix.
