I'm planning on doing the dreaded intake seals on the XB this weekend without an engine rotate. I've gone for the thicker blue James seals. Before I get stuck in is there anything I need to be aware of or any top tips?

Thanks in advance!

Make sure before you do the replacement check the bolts that hold the intake manifold to the engine and see if they are loose. Mine were loose so i have the new intake seals just sitting in my garage. The one bolt was finger loose. I tighted that bad boy up and now i dont have any symptoms of a leaking intake manifold.

will take a look as soon as the scoops are off. looking on the forum it looks like other Buell'ers have changed them without an engine rotate and in their pictures you can see most of the TB once the scoops are removed hope this is correct.

Its not fun i had almost all the parts off TB, coils, injectors until i found that stupid screw. Im glad i did find it i wouldn't have been able to take that manifold off. you need the right tools good luck!
