great weekend ride

Over the weekend i had a great ride with my old man. He took his Valkyrie and it took my 12r. Did around 500 or so miles in one day. I live in west central Illinois and most of the roads are flat. We end up going to savana, il stopping at poopy's and the iron horse. Then head up to galena, il. Just a great veiw along the river and bluffs. From there we head to prairie du chien, wi. Cut over to iowa and took the river road back. There were plenty of curves to play on and boy did we hit them hard. He left me behind a few time. What to you expect, an oppisite 6 vs. A v- twin. The only thing that would have been better would have been meeting up with my gal pal up there and making it a 2 day ride instead of a 1 dayer. Hppe every one had a safe and enjoyable weekend.

It's good to hear that you and your dad ride together not that lucky. Those are things you will never forget.

My Dad has been talking about buying the new Indian Chief. I tried to talk him into a Uly but he "doesn't like the way they look."

rchuff you are absoultly right. we try to ride together as much as we can. it use to be my dad, younger brother, and me. but my brother sold his sporster and my dad and him had a falling out.
the new indian are nice. i looked at a couple back in 2010. my dad is a honda man. but he loves the older bikes and he dosent like rockets or any thing that looks like them. he hasnt even rode my firebolt.
