engine light help plz

:p ok so I just bought my first bike 09 buell xb12r nd I love it did oil change from videos from here which Im great full for but I got question when im riding around on regular roads im fine but once I get on the freeway nd cruise over 60 or 70 my engine light comes I dont know why can anyone help the only mod if you wanna call it that is my buddy previous owner cut out the baffles in the muffler is that what's causing the problem ?

If the engine light came on then it should have logged a code . There is a rather easy way of jumping the diagnostic plug and retrieving the code . There are numerous threads on here about doing this . Good luck :)

Check your Battery Cables. Then check the battery. Also take a look at your grounding straps/cables.

Alright ill start there however I talked to one my cousins today he said he thinks my o2 sensor is getting trick up nd trying to compensate for the back pressure loss from the baffles being removed when at higher speeds but I will take yalls advice along with his untill I can resolve the issue thanks
