Anyone actually put miles on their Buell

I keep seeing all these Buells with less then hundred miles or a few thousand. Whats the deal? Can see keeping low miles if your a collector. Mine 09 XB12R Firebolt has 30,000 miles anyone else racking them up? I did most of them up to 2011 then i started deploying.

I only have 13k on mine bought it with 7k 3 years ago. But I also pretty much only ride for pleasure, a dozen or so times a year. I typically ride about one day a month.

Bought my bike in 2011 (it's a 2007) with just over 2k on the clock. Now I'm closing in on 20k. I've been commuting almost every day since I bought it, plus a few trips here and there.

Has anyone made it to the 100k mark?

I think you may have missed the operative word, "don't".

Agreed, but I think it should be increased to at least 500mi in a month. Penalty for not complying is you have to give it to me. Then, after placing the delinquent amount of miles on it, I donate it to a gixxer forum for zoolander-like entertainment.

I just crossed 27,000 this month. I got it in October 2011 with 13,000. A good mix of commuting, canyons and track days. I'd probably be at 40,000 if the damn thing was more reliable.

lol my point was that seeing as I only ride about 12 days a year I put a decent amount of miles on the bike. Not nearly what a lot of you do though.

I've had mine since about april and have put almost 4500 miles on mine since. Funny as I owned my 2008 Versys from brand new, traded it for this bike and maybe had around 8k on it from new. Just didn't have the itch to ride it like I do the Buell.

I didn't put the miles on the bikes but.
I've parted out two 2003 xb9r's with 54 and 56,000 miles. One had a rod bearing fail, the other had a oil pump fail.
I also parted a 07 xb12ss with 68,000 miles the trans bearing behind the clutch basket failed.

I put about 300 miles on my bike today and about 200 miles on it last sunday. That's pretty good considering I only ride once a month, typically :p

Put 391 miles on mine tuesday. rode from Land O Lakes (north of tampa) to palm bay to pick up race suit then to Sanford (north of orlando) to pick up a new drive belt then back to land o lakes.
