I'm replacing my oil cooler and was wondering if there is anything I need to know. It seems pretty plug n' play but I wanted to know if there is anything I need to do other than disconnect the old one and connect the new one. Would appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Ensure multiple times that the fitting goes on straight the lines aren't very flexible and really like to try and cross thread being aluminum also no need for pipe thread or anything.

The proviso use owner of my bike had then bothe cross threaded [down]

Hence my need for the new one. the PO cross threaded one badly. It held up fine but I had to disconnect it to remove my engine and there was no getting it back without a bad leak. Thanks for the reminder.

I went through hell fixing all the PO did to my bike he really should not even own a crescent wrench I swear

haha, wow, you didn't buy your bike from a guy named Cole in Modesto did you? It sounds like we have the same previous owner. I had to almost rebuild the engine and upon opening it up, it looked like someone had been having some serious meth motorcycle build parties and did most of their work with a crescent wrench, hammer and chisel. I've spent almost as much repairing the damage done to this bike as I did buying it.
