Hello fellow Buellers!
Had the Buell for over a year now and due to accident about 3 months ago, decided to use the opportunity to heavily modify the bike. I'll post pictures of the build in another thread soon, but really felt I had to share the results of my custom heel guard covers...

I have also had a hatred (I know strong word, but true for me) for anything that resembles poc-a-dots! The holes in the stock heel guards resemble that for me. I decided to have a friend of mine machine the heel guards in a special way in which they would look like the Buell wings of the Buell Horse. From there, I had them stripped, machine brushed, and then black hard anodized... they turned out even better than Imagined!

All said and done, it was $100 to machine them (which my buddy said was a PITA and would normally charge $175), then another $50 to strip, $50 to brush, and finally another $100 to hard black anodize. All told, it cost me $300 to get them done, but nevertheless I'm glad I did it. I wanted them to stand out from other Buellers.

I get some pics on the bike when I can but for now I hope you like the pictures!

Hello pur pony.... glad to see we both have the same taste in cars too!

I've got a 2004 twin turbo'd cobra coupe. Custom stainless turbo kit with updated precision turbo's, return fuel system, build solid, build t56 w/rxt twin disc, build 5.0 stroker motor, etc...

Here's a recent video of the car being tuned at RET Tuning in Downey where it made 963rwhp on C16 at 25psi... could have pushed over 30 psi but waiting to put a methanol kit on.

Enjoy!

Beautiful car!!!... and abosolutely LOVE the garage... really tough to have a nice garage like that in CA.

We really do have similar taste!

Don't mind the rear wheels/tires... Greg at RET swapped them because the CCW were rubbing on the dyno... I've since rolled the fenders to prevent rubbing.

My mustang ALSO has a full griggs suspension (tubular a arms, torque arm, panhard bar, lower control arms, coilovers, etc.)
On top of that, I've got 18 inch polished CCW classics on the car... Just installed them about 5 months ago!

WOW 50dro!... love the fox body! LOVE the orange! Orange is one of my favorite colors and when the next more affordable EBR 1190 bike comes along, it will be orange and in my garage.

I originally had a Turbohorsepower kit, but decided to upgrade to a custom kit. I wanted to make the switch to stainless, go from 2.5 inch downpipes to 3 inch downpipes, increase ground clearance, upgrade to v band flanges, new precision 5857 billet turbos and freshen up the tune with 05 style slot meter for stock like drivability.

Here's a picture of the engine bay a couple months ago... it's not current as I've since put the custom powdercoated radiator/fan cover back over the radiator support, polished turbo's are exposed, intake piping is powder coated and I've polished her up to a nice show shine. I'll to get some updated pictures.

Beautiful. Most of the aftermarket ones I've seen are a bit on the cheesy side. I'd buy a set if you had them made!

I'd like to see a pic of them installed.

Thank you 50dro! LOL!

PVMike, I would be interested in producing these covers but unfortunately I sincerely doubt people would be interested in paying $300 plus for some heel guards! It's a bit overkill to pay that much but it's important to me that my bike has it's own personality.

I'll get some pictures up soon... I had a temporary delay as I found that upon final re-assembly of the bike, I found that the rear rocker cover was leaking. I spent about an hour on Sunday rotating the motor down and getting the covers off. Parts from ASB should be here by tomorrow so I can re-assemble and drive it!
